Arvada is a beautiful home rule municipality in the Jefferson and Adams counties. The city’s history begins around the time of the first discovery of precious metal that started the Gold Rush. The town was officially incorporated in 1904. The seventh most populous city in Colorado, Arvada is a gorgeous urban area that brings residents close to nature. Located in the northwestern suburb of Denver, Arvada is home to about 120,000 residents and encompasses over 120 parks, three public golf courses, dog parks, and more than 140 miles of extensive trails. This active community appreciates the modern conveniences of being close to Denver and the Denver metro area, while still having access to all that the Colorado outdoor lifestyle has to offer.

Real estate in Arvada ranges from new construction and new build communities close to the town center. Residents also love living close to Olde Town as it is the town’s main hub of retail and business. 

There are several condo and townhome communities throughout the city, but those located close to Olde Town have the benefit of allowing residents to walk to their favorite eateries and entertainment venues. A hip little neighborhood, Arvada has all the hallmarks of a small town in a big city. It has become one of the most desirable places to live in Colorado in recent years.

New Image Brewing Company is housed inside an industrial space and makes unique craft beer, including stouts, sours, and IPAs. For something more unique, Homegrown Tap & Dough mixes brews with pizza in a rustic-chic setting. A locally-owned establishment, Homegrown Tap has a menu of wood-fired pizzas, wine, and craft brews.

Meet with friends for artisanal cocktails and comfort fare at the vintage cocktail bar and restaurant, The Arvada Tavern. In the heart of Historic Olde Town Arvada, School House Kitchen & Libations is a sophisticated 1882 schoolhouse-turned-bistro and saloon with more than 1,000 whiskey brands. Enjoy savory tacos and Mexican cuisine at the Baja-Rado taqueria and bar, Lady Nomada.

Olde Towne Arvada is the city’s central hub and downtown district. This turn-of-the-century Main Street boasts classic Americana ambiance and the town’s heart and soul. Here you’ll discover a diverse range of boutiques, galleries, restaurants, breweries, and shops. Each year, Olde Towne Arvada hosts an outdoor multi-cultural celebration called WinterFest to highly the many cultures in the community and invite attendees to enjoy diverse arts, culture, and entertainment.

Spread across 80 acres, the Majestic View Park and Nature Center invites visitors to learn and connect with nature through hands-on displays, meeting spaces, wildlife exhibits, and interactive exhibits. For creatives and those interested in theatre, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is a multi-use cultural facility with over 10,000 square feet of gallery space featuring significant artists from all over the state and western region.
